My Story

Lynece Benton-Stewart is a Licensed Professional Counselor Mental Health Service Provider with over 15 years of experience in the field of counseling. She is also a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP), Certified in Critical Incident Stress Management (CCISM), Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), and a qualified substance abuse provider (SAP). Additionally, she is in training to become a Certified Animal Assisted Psychotherapist (CAAP). Lynece is a passionate counselor who holds hope for her clients and guides them towards positive change and growth. She uses a variety of interventions and works collaboratively with clients to develop a personalized treatment based on best practices that leads to healing.

My ultimate goal is to create a comfortable and serene environment where you can focus on your overall well-being. I employ a holistic approach, combining evidence-based counseling techniques with complementary interventions such as aroma therapy, art creation, meditation, and soon-to-be-introduced animal-assisted psychotherapy to promote healing. I firmly believe in an integrative approach that addresses the mind, body, and spirit.

As a seasoned Certified Employee Assistance Provider (CEAP), I bring a wealth of experience supporting individuals through various personal and professional challenges. My commitment to well-being goes beyond traditional counseling, evident in my certification as a Certified Critical Incident Manager. During times of crisis or trauma, I am equipped to respond effectively, providing the necessary support and guidance to help individuals navigate the complexities of critical incidents

Counselor Statement

In my role as a Certified Critical Incident Manager, my dedication revolves around offering immediate and effective assistance during times of crisis. Whether it's a workplace incident, natural disaster, or any critical event, my focus is on mitigating the emotional impact on individuals and fostering resilience within the community. Employing evidence-based counseling techniques and crisis intervention strategies, I strive to guide individuals and organizations through the process of recovery, emphasizing mental well-being and post-traumatic growth.

Additionally, as a qualified Department of Transportation substance abuse provider, I extend my commitment to ensuring public safety. Delivering comprehensive substance abuse services, I actively contribute to maintaining a secure environment, particularly in the transportation sector. Through education, prevention, and intervention initiatives, I tirelessly address substance abuse issues, promoting compliance with safety regulations and fostering a culture of well-being within organizations.

I am also certified in nutritional health and herbal health, recognizing the vital role good nutrition plays in maintaining mental health. A well-balanced diet is not just fuel for the body; it supports clear thinking, heightened alertness, and improved concentration. Conversely, an inadequate diet can lead to fatigue, impaired decision-making, and slowed reaction time.
